Software Engineer - Remote (Ireland)

Permanent employee, Full-time · Ireland - Remote

Role
Keelvar has an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team as a Software Engineer. This role is remotely based in Ireland, preferably in Cork so you can sometimes meet the rest of the team in the office.

Reporting to one of our Engineering Managers, you will be part of a critical group responsible for building and supporting a new exciting product with a cross functional team. The successful candidate will join a group of engineers from different backgrounds including Software Engineers, Data Science, UI and Product management and design.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a cross functional development team driving product innovation, analysing feature requests and designing creative solutions for our new automation products.

  • Develop top quality software with scalability, maintainability, security and reliability in mind.

  • Write unit tests and otherwise ensure the quality of your code.

  • Review colleague’s code and designs.

  • Deploy code to and monitor the services you are responsible for.

  • Ensure a quality first approach in all development activities.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product team on new features and workflows, shaping early ideas through experimentation and prototyping.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure customer centric product vision is delivered.

  • Contribute to the ongoing success of this fast-paced, rapidly growing and evolving organisation.

  • Understand and deliver on our customer’s needs and goals.

  • Continuously seeking opportunities to innovate in design, technical approaches and user experience.

Your profile
  • 2-5 years of experience in software development ideally developing SaaS solutions.

  • Experience coding in Python and working with CI/CD pipelines

  • You have a product engineering mindset, focusing not just on code but on delivering real value to users.

  • Experience designing distributed services which can communicate in a fault-tolerant manner using both RESTful and message-driven APIs.

  • You enjoy writing clean and testable code and are familiar with common software design patterns.

  • Take a hands-on approach to shipping high-quality code incrementally — we value learning through iteration over aiming for perfection upfront.

  • You are a deep thinker, you like to innovate, you like to solve problems creatively and quickly, and are passionate about technology and people.

  • You thrive in an environment of mutual respect, openness and collaboration. You enjoy getting things done at a quick pace.

Our technology is unparalleled in its space. We are on a fast-paced journey to herald a new era of SaaS 3.0. We strive for excellence, challenging ourselves and each other, with independent thinking, a lot of focus, and plenty of collaboration. In our eyes, the bigger the challenge, the bigger the reward. We’re not content with just equipping users with good tools; we want to help our customers achieve success and excellence, and sometimes this requires lateral or unconventional thinking. We want you to share your knowledge readily and learn every day. We like to ask questions, and answer questions when we can. We invite you to a workplace that is inclusive and celebrates diversity. We support everyone in being themselves, feeling empowered and inspired to make a difference.
