Keelvar is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in kickstarting their career in business development through our Business Development Representative (BDR) Internship program. As a BDR Intern, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop essential skills in lead generation, content writing, sequence writing, script writing, and learning crucial skills to develop accounts with enterprise businesses, to use tools like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Apollo.io, and many others. You will gain experience with HubSpot and learn about prospecting, sales outreach, marketing campaigns, all within the procurement and sourcing technology industry.

Location: Remote (Residency in specified states required)
Residency in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Hawaii, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia.

Duration: 3-6 months

Responsibilities
  • Conduct prospecting activities to build targeted lists of potential customers using tools such as LinkedIn and ZoomInfo or Apollo.io.

  • Assist in creating and executing cold calling scripts tailored to specific buyer personas and industries.

  • Score marketing leads based on ICP, personas, and other characteristics.

  • Develop initial email templates for outreach campaigns and follow-up communications.

  • Craft cold messaging scripts for LinkedIn to engage with prospects and initiate conversations.

  • Collaborate with the BDR team to align prospecting efforts with sales objectives and strategies.

  • Research and understand financial statements and key financial information for public companies we are reaching out to.

  • Identify pain points and personas through market research to customize outreach efforts effectively.

  • Learn how to overcome sales objections and schedule meetings with prospective customer inquiries professionally.

  • Navigate and utilize CRM software to manage leads, track activities, and update prospect information.

  • Assist in account research for existing clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Your profile

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree program.

  • Strong future interest in sales, Marketing, Business development, Procurement Customer Success, and technology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite./ Google Business Suite 

  • Ability to manipulate data, add filters, and tell a story with the data.

  • Not afraid to give presentations, make cold calls, along with strong email skills.

  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.

  • Previous sales internship preferred.

  • Previous software/Technology internship or experience preferred.
